Exploring Arts in the City
Section Info:
This course, developed for FAA James Scholar students, explores the arts and culture in a major city. The purpose is to examine, discuss and experience the urban landscape from a cultural and historical perspective. The eight week course culminates in a week-long visit to the city. During the visit, students will examine the city as a lived space, investigating its architecture, built environment, and public art along with experiencing live performances of dancers, musicians and actors. The course will expose FAA James Scholars to a wide range of visual, performance and environmental arts events in the city.
