Current Issues in EU and Global Affairs. This graduate-level seminar is a roundtable discussion exploring a variety of topics related to transatlantic relations and global affairs. It will meet weekly with a sister-seminar at the Catholic University of Leuven using online messaging and live streaming technologies. Students at both Illinois and Leuven will have an opportunity to participate in regular conversations about Europe, the EU, US-EU relations, and current events. Additionally, this semester the course will focus on the relationship between transatlantic relations, international politics, immigration, and cultural affairs. The seminar will improve students' analytical and critical skills, increase their professional social network, and foster the creation of a global community of transatlantic scholars. Restricted to MA: European Studies or Instructor's Consent.
