Section Title:
Free Speech & Right to Offend
Section Info:
Free Speech and the Right to be Offensive What is the law of Hate Speech? Cross Burning? Flag Burning? Can you say the F-word? the N-Word? Can a judge or the government do anything about it? Can your boss fire or punish you for saying such things at work? (Even if you are an NFL player?) What about your teacher or principal or Dean at school? Does it matter if you do it online? What if you use a pseudonym? Often the answer to these questions — and many others — is “it depends.” This course separates the law from the B.S. and informs you in clear terms what you do AND DO NOT have a Constitutional right to say and do in America.
