Supervised, off-campus experience in a field directly pertaining to subject matter in Human Development and Family Studies. Intended primarily for students seeking supervised internship experience needed for certification as a Child Life Specialist.
Approved for Letter and S/U grading. May be repeated in separate terms to a maximum of 4 hours. Credit is not given for more than a total of 12 hours of Independent Study (IND) courses applying to a degree in ACES. Prerequisite: Prior or concurrent enrollment in HDFS 408 and consent of instructor.
