Over the course of the semester, we’ll read and write short fiction, and talk about student stories in a workshop format. This is the third in the series of fiction writing classes. You must have completed CW 104 (Introduction to Narrative Writing) and CW 204 (Intermediate Narrative Writing) to take this class. Responsibilities will include reading and discussing selected published short fiction; writing and rewriting two short stories; thoughtfully reading and writing a response paper to your classmates’ in-progress drafts; memorizing and reciting to the class a poem of your choosing.
