Introduces students to opportunities and topics for research in crop sciences including in the lab, field, and greenhouse; introduces research procedures such as how to maintain a laboratory notebook, basic experimental design and analysis, and exploring scientific literature; and provides students training in both research safety and ethics.
Approved for S/U grading only. Prerequisite: Restricted to Crop Sciences majors, Computer Sciences + Crop Sciences majors, and ACES Undeclared majors only; restricted to first time freshmen and first time transfer students.
