We will explore three major Italian plays:Goldoni’s La Locandiera, Pirandello’s Sei Personaggi in Cerca d’aurore and Fo’s Accidental Death of an Anarchist. We will learn how to pronounce and speak Italian by performing selections of the plays.

Location Pending	Stoppino, E Rota, E	Part of Term: B Date Range: 03/12/18-05/02/18 Special Approval: Instructor Approval Required Credit: 3 hours Section Title: Mediterranean Migration NGOs Section Info: Migration in the Mediterranean: The Role of NGOs The course focuses on the role of state institutions and NGOs as cultural mediators for migrants in and from the Mediterranean. This course will include a field experience in Pavia, Italy, May 25-June 9. During our time in Italy, we will meet with a number of NGOs and Italian state representatives to learn about how the migration emergency is managed from the perspective of cultural communication and mediation.
