Survey of critical approaches in dance studies including feminist theory, poststructural, and postcolonial theory, historiography, and ethnographic research methods. Course topics will cover a variety of theatrical, popular, and social dance practices.

3 undergraduate hours. 3 graduate hours. May be repeated to a maximum of 6 undergraduate hours and 9 graduate hours. Prerequisite: DANC 240 or consent of instructor.
