Grant Writing: This is an introductory level course for students who are interested in grant writing. Primary topic areas will include components of a grant application, grant guidelines, specific aims and objectives writing, budget justifications and grant review process. Various mechanisms of major funding agencies will be reviewed, including the National Institutes of Health, National Institute on Disability, Independent Living, and Rehabilitation Research, Department of Defense CDMRP programs, and National Science Foundation. Students will complete a grant writing project to gain hands-on experience on preparing successful grants.
