Lecture course on fundamentals of drug discovery and development. Topics include case studies of top-selling, mechanistically diverse drugs, chemistry of drug contraindications, structural biology of drug targets, mechanisms of drug resistance, and drug metabolism and toxicity.
3 undergraduate hours. 3 graduate hours. Prerequisite: CHEM 332 or CHEM 436; and MCB 354 or MCB 450, or consent of instructor.
