Section Info:
Economics of Food and Environmental Justice. Access to food and a healthy environment are basic human rights, but such access varies among groups in U.S. society across geography, race, gender, and income. This class will analyze questions of poverty and what might be called “food justice” or “environmental justice” through the lens of economic theory, and explore other phenomena at the intersection of food, environment, race, gender, class, and the rural/urban divide.
