Credit: 3 hours.

Explores the interrelatedness of human, animal and environmental health with a focus on new and emerging diseases. Through a combination of lecture, class discussion and small group projects, students will learn about how human, animal and ecosystem health are all affected by many of the same factors and how the health of one affects the health of the others. Public policy affecting community health will be discussed and new policy initiatives will be developed by students.

Approved for letter and S/U grading.
