Course will analyze event management as an academic phenomenon and draw from the social sciences, finance, the arts, and related professional fields to analyze the experience and attributed meanings of planned events. In addition, students will acquire an in-depth knowledge of the specialized field of event management and become familiar with management techniques and strategies required for successful planning, promotion, implementation and evaluation of events within recreation, sport and tourism contexts.
