Addresses issues of human diversity in the research and applied work of Clinical/Community Psychologists. Diversity is broadly defined and includes attention to, for example: national origin, culture, race, ethnicity, social class, physical ability, cognitive ability, sexual orientation, gender identity, and privilege/oppression. Utilizes both the scholarly literature on diversity, and experiential exercises to develop knowledge and cultural competence.

Approved for S/U grading only. May be repeated in separate terms to a maximum of 4 hours. Prerequisite: Clinical/Community Psychology graduate students only; or consent of instructor.
