The foods you eat every day have their origins in global history. Your favorite dish might have ingredients that were grown on different continents than where they originated. Your favorite drink might have been shipped across oceans to get to your cup. In this course we will focus on the most essential things humans have in common: eating and drinking. We will use food and drink as starting points and end up learning about culture, politics, trade, migration, war, religion, labor, and much more from around the world.
