Michelangelo. An introduction to the visual culture of High Renaissance Italy through the study of its most celebrated artist, Michelangelo. The course will examine Michelangelo's work as sculptor, architect, and painter for Florence and Rome's most exalted patrons, including the Medici and nine popes. No prerequisites.
