UG Honors Research or Thesis
Credit: 1 TO 4 hours.
Undergraduate research, bachelor's thesis, and/or design work under the direction of a faculty mentor, culminating in the writing of a research abstract and presentation of a display poster at an approved event such as ExplorACES, the Provost's Undergraduate Research Symposium, and/or an external professional/scientific meeting.
May be repeated in separate terms to a maximum of 12 hours. No more than 12 hours of special problems, research, thesis and/or individual studies may be counted toward a degree. Prerequisite: Junior or senior standing, cumulative GPA of 3.4 or above, enrollment in the ACES James Scholar Honors Program, and consent of instructor.
