This advanced seminar on tinnitus covers the types of tinnitus, pathophysiology of chronic subjective/sensorineural tinnitus, latest research involving both animal and human studies, assessment of tinnitus, and management of tinnitus. It examines the complexity of tinnitus, its consequences for individuals and societies, and how health-care providers, specifically audiologists, may mitigate its impact.

2 graduate hours. No professional credit. Prerequisite: SHS 541 or consent of instructor. Graduate student status in Speech and Hearing Science or consent of instructor.
