Examines the microeconomic theory of urban land-use and spatial structure (static and dynamic models); analyzes externalities caused by traffic congestion; normative and positive analysis of the provision of local public goods; and public policy issues (i.e., slums and urban decline, pollution).

Prerequisite: ECON 530 and ECON 533.
