TOPIC TITLE: "Cultural, Language and Business" Taught in Portuguese and does not require any previous knowledge in business. It is recommended for students from any department who are interested in learning about cross-cultural concepts in international business. Brazil offers a myriad of opportunities in the world scenario as one of the top 10 largest economies. The course material offers students an opportunity to develop critical understandings of Portuguese culture, language and business in a contextualized manner. It also addresses some aspects of cultural practices and business of other Portuguese speaking countries as well. By taking this class, students can open many doors in the professional world in the US, Brazil, Europe, and other Portuguese speaking places (Africa, East Timor, Goa, and Macau). It is highly recommended to FLAS (Foreign Language and Area Studies) recipients or anyone who needs to fulfill a language course requirement. Graduate students can enroll and apply for 4 credits.
