One Health India Study Abroad
Section Info:
One Health India - People, animals and the environment in South Asia In this study abroad course to India, participants will learn about health issues related to animals, people and the environment, while gaining insight into the challenges of international public health. This interdisciplinary course focuses on factors that affect transmission of two important infectious diseases in India: rabies and dengue. During the course, students will have guided first-hand experiences pertaining to the challenges associated with these issues. Then, U.S. students and Indian students will work together to evaluate existing and suggest new solutions to address them, while expanding their cultural awareness and understanding. This course will be of particular interest to students programs related to public and veterinary health, geography, and South Asia, but it is open to students in all disciplines.
