Explores the fundamental principles, procedures, and practices that underly the most common statistical and sampling methods used in natural resources and environmental sciences. This course covers hypothesis testing, regression, and analysis of variance. There is also a strong focus on sampling theory and experimental design. Computer labs utilize the open source R statistical computing environment.

3 undergraduate hours. 3 graduate hours. Prerequisite: One of MATH 220, MATH 221, MATH 234; completion of the statistics requirement.
