Topic: International Insect Pest Management in a Digital World. We will explore the crossroads of insect pest management (IPM) and the emergence of information and communication technologies (ICT). In the first part of the class, students will take a global view of this process and present on existing systems as well as how these emerging IPM-ICT strategies are being used. The second half of the class will involve a detailed interaction with a program on campus that is working on ICT technologies involving (but is not limited to) IPM, and students will be expected to develop a final paper which will be crafted as a case study on opportunities for use of these topics in selected regions of the world.
