Title: Social and Political Factors that Contribute to the Persistent Racial Achievement Gap. School personnel interested in understanding factors that contribute to the persistent racial gap should take this course. The course will identify problems in the existing school environments and provide students with an opportunity to think about alternatives that may reduce the academic disparities between multi-cultural groups. Students will also be exposed to strategies that have been proven successful in improving academic outcomes of those students in most need of academic and social support.
