This course explores methods to find problems, reframe them as opportunities, and generate ideas. You will learn techniques to see what others may not and practice the techniques in your personal and academic life, whatever your field of study. The course is open to students in all majors, campus-wide, and there are no prerequisites. Though listed in ENG/TE, the focus of the course is on models and techniques to be creative in any application. It is not necessary to have prior engineering background or interest in technology. The course is offered in an eight-week, hybrid format, with online instruction plus face-to-face meetings. Meeting days and times will be arranged at the first class session (see Note, next). NOTE: You must attend a one-time introductory, first class session, Tuesday, March 15, 7-9PM in 2320 DCL. Subsequent class sessions will be arranged to accommodate your schedule.

Projects include creating a sustainable business and operations plan for a Biosand Filter Project, developing designs and funding proposals for water distribution systems, and cultivating relationships with nonprofit stakeholders.
