Historic preservation in the context of urban planning, including legal issues and ordinances, economic incentives, comprehensive plans and preservation plans, public participation, media relations, and more. Students will conduct a building survey including research and architectural descriptions for an on-going project in Urbana. Tours of local preservation projects.
4 undergraduate hours. 4 graduate hours. Prerequisite: At least junior standing.
