Fall 2016 ITAL 510 Ariosto’s Orlando furioso and the chivalric poem. In the 500th anniversary of the publication of Ariosto’s Orlando furioso (1516), this course explores themes like genre, gender, narrative structure, history, politics, author and authority in the most influential European poem of the sixteenth century.
