A Unified Country? Perspectives on German Unification. The Fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989 was a major event both in German national history and on a global scale. In this course we will consider competing perspectives on this event and its aftermath and seek to understand the development of unified Germany as it approaches its 25th anniversary
