Section Info:
This seminar on curatorial practice will be team taught with Amy Powell, curator of contemporary art at the Krannert museum. The class will begin the semester working with an artists' group called the Borderland Collective http://www.borderlandcollective.org, whose exhibition will open at the Krannert museum in the fall (their work addresses immigration at the Northern Triangle). Students will then investigate various approaches curatorial work, and finally curate and design an exhibition for the Krannert, which, depending on the success and dedication of the students in class, may open at the museum in the Spring.
