Investigation of special problems and current topics in industrial and/or graphic design. Students will conduct original research which will be shared through papers, presentations, and discussions.

Additional fees may apply. See Class Schedule. 3 undergraduate hours. 4 graduate hours. May be repeated in separate terms to a maximum of 12 undergraduate hours or 16 graduate hours. Prerequisite: Junior standing in Art and Design or consent of instructor.

MFA Seminar in Design
Section Info:
This seminar provides the MFA design student with tools to define and develop their body of work within a specific and individually created path. Course outcomes include: a more defined area of inquiry, an understanding of the context of their work, and paramenters for further self-initiated work. This seminar will facilitate a sharing of student work and research in order to collectively strategize methods to push the trajectory of each forward. Weekly readings and written critiques of literature is expected. Graduate Section.
