Seminar in Design

SHOW FINAL EXAM SCHEDULE

Credit: 3 OR 4 hours.

Investigation of special problems and current topics in industrial and/or graphic design. Students will conduct original research which will be shared through papers, presentations, and discussions.

Additional fees may apply. See Class Schedule. 3 undergraduate hours. 4 graduate hours. May be repeated in separate terms to a maximum of 12 undergraduate hours or 16 graduate hours. Prerequisite: Junior standing in Art and Design or consent of instructor.

Course outcomes include: a more defined area of inquiry, an understanding of the context of their work, and paramenters for further self-initiated work. This seminar will facilitate a sharing of student work and research in order to collectively strategize methods to push the trajectory of each forward. Weekly readings and written critiques of literature is expected. Graduate Section. Restriction(s): Restricted to Graphic Design or Industrial Design or Art and Design major(s). Restricted to Graduate - Urbana-Champaign.
