Students will identify environmental factors which influence student success, enhance interpersonal and leadership skills, and understand the purpose of civic engagement and the impact of service on the surrounding community. Veterans Transition&Leadership
Section Info:
Having veterans on campus is an honor. The University recognizes the vast experiences and leadership that veterans bring from the military. For some returning veterans, going back to school can present unique challenges. There are many offices on campus and within the community that are designed to see veterans succeed. This course is designed for veterans who are freshman and transfer students to learn about assistive resources, gain practical skills that will support their transition to campus, reflect on their service history, and develop community with other veterans. Restricted to Veteran's. This class meets in room 1020 at the Center for Wounded Veterans, 908 W. Nevada, Urbana.
