Tech and the Mega-City Studio
Section Info:
Prerequisite: UP 418, or Consent of Instructor. Mega-cities, especially those in developing countries, offer an opportunity to study a variety of critical urban issues from economics opportunities and resource conflicts, to lack of effective governance and inequitable human outcomes. The studio will use Mumbai, India to gain a basic understand of planning in mega-cities; explore techniques and data that document patterns of urban growth and change; and develop applications of these techniques in planning.
