This research-based experience will focus on student exploration of the purpose and meaning of a Liberal Arts Education -- where we have been -- where we are now ? and to better inform the directions we should consider taking into the future. We will explore multiple related topics, including: learning styles, professional development, intercultural and interpersonal development, living in a world of BIG data, general education and its goals and beyond. Students will work in groups on a self-defined, but guided research project that will result in specific policy recommendations which will be presented to a group of administrators and faculty members at the end of the semester.
