Credit: 3 hours.
Introduces students to the rhetoric, vocabulary, grammar, and argumentation of the Babylonian Talmud. The students will read, translate, and analyze portions of the Babylonian Talmud daily in class.
3 undergraduate hours. 3 graduate hours. May be repeated to a maximum of 6 hours. Prerequisite: Advanced knowledge of Hebrew, especially Hebrew grammar, and the consent of the instructor.
