It draws from the contemporary theories of influence and persuasion to identify propaganda in the context of journalism, advertising, and public relations, to delineate differences between propaganda and information, and to assess its impact in everyday life. The particular attention is given to the roles of news media as unwitting allies of modern propagandists. Restriction(s): Restricted to students with Junior or Senior class standing.
