Introduces key economic principles and applies them to the analysis of current education policy issues. Concepts covered include supply and demand, competitive markets, human capital acquisition, efficiency, equity and the role of government intervention, among others. Focuses on applications within the context of policy making in education. Designed for students without prior coursework in economics, but with a working basic knowledge of statistics (e.g., regression).

Prerequisite: EPSY 480.
