World Dance Forms

SHOW FINAL EXAM SCHEDULE

Credit: 1 hours.

Provides students with the physical study of various world dance forms. Topics reflect specializations of faculty, such as Capoiera, African dance, Balinese dance, and Chinese forms.

May be repeated in the same term to a maximum of 2 hours. May be repeated in separate terms to a maximum of 8 hours. Prerequisite: Consent of instructor.

Contemporary African Dance uses Umfundalai to provide students with a rigorous movement experience that will focus on alignment, rhythm, and style as competencies in proficient, African-informed movement practice.
