Experiments involving design of bioreactors and microfluidic systems, advanced cell culture, and quantitative analysis techniques such as polmerase chain reaction and atomic force microscopy. Laboratory techniques relating to current literature and state of the art in the field of bioengineering.

Prerequisite: BIOE 202. Departmental approval required for non-majors.
