Parent-child gaps in acculturation can impact parenting, family values and family interaction. The purpose of this advanced seminar is to examine the phenomenon of acculturation in youth and families who come about intercultural contact via two different pathways: 1) immigration and 2) globalization. Will also address how youth and families adapt to being in cultural flux, including known risk and protective factors.
