	58150	Lecture-Discussion	A	9:00AM -11:20AM	F	113 English Building	Stenport, A	Part of Term: 1 Date Range: 01/21/14-05/07/14 Credit: 3 hours Section Title: EU-US Economic Relations Section Info: EU-US Economic Relations: Trade, Investment and Competition Policies The course examines the political economy of the development and current practices of the European Union and the United States in cooperating on regulatory matters to enhance trade and investment flows and enforce competitive markets for goods and services. The goal is to understand the structure of the economic issues in the current debate on trade, investment, and competition policies. The course introduces economic concepts and theories from the applied economics areas of international trade and finance, industrial organization and regulation, and the economics of organizations. The course is suited for students studying political economy or economics, political science, international relations, and international business. Course will be taught by Professor David Cleeton, visiting scholar from Illinois State University, Department of Economics. Prerequisite: The required economic background for the course is principles of microeconomics. Restriction(s): Restricted to Graduate - Urbana-Champaign.
