Prerequisite: Math 415, STAT 400, and GE 320 or equivalents; or consent of instructor. We will survey both classic and recent literature on colustering and model approximation methods applicable to large data sets and large-scale dynamic systems and networks. Some emphasis will be placed on control systems and Markov chains. Computational Approaches will be discusse with related exercises completed by the students.

Inventory and Production Syst
Section Info:
The course will focus on modeling, analysis, and optimization of inventory and production systems. Topics include inventory replenishment and allocation policies, production management and capacity flexibility, contracting, information sharing, and channel coordination, and supply chain designs. Emerging new subjects, such as interface between operations management, marketing, and finance will also be discussed.
