This course addresses the nature and geological origin of physical resources (such as enenrgy, metals, water and soil), the challenges associated with finding and extracting these resources, the potential environmental consequences of using and disposing of the resources, and the sustainability of these resources over the long term. First year Discovery Program course. Registration restricted to freshmen. Students should only enroll in one Discovery course.
