The role of housing in American social policy planning: economic modeling of the housing market, emphasizing supply and demand functions and private market imperfections; and analysis of public policies for housing as they affect special consumer groups (the poor, the elderly, and the minorities).

Prerequisite: Graduate standing, or UP 260 and ECON 302 or equivalents.
