Intro to Medical Sociology

Credit: 3 hours.

Sociology of health and illness behavior and the social structure of systems which deliver health care services; includes social constraints on illness, the illness role, medical organizations and professions, and the application of the illness model to deviant forms of behavior.

Prerequisite: SOC 100.
