Mathematical foundation for synthesis and analysis of adaptive control systems: Lyapunov stability theory; methods of direct and indirect model reference adaptive control; recent methods, such as L1 adaptive control, that enable adaptive control with desired transient and steady-stage performance specifications.
Prerequisite: Any of ECE 486, ECE 515, ECE 528, GE 424, ME 460.
