Examination of the structure of turbulent boundary layers in rivers and how turbulent flow, sediment transport and channel forms interact over a wide range of spatial and temporal scales. Explores these interactions through critical analysis of contemporary research in fluvial geomorphology, fluid mechanics, hydraulics and sedimentology.

Same as GEOL 575. Prerequisite: Consent of instructor.
