Divided into sections, the course will address films and industry practices of relevance in particular to the following: Globalization, Environment and Nature (including the Arctic), Gender and Sexuality, Hollywood remakes, and director Lars von Trier. Screenings on Mondays, lecture and discussion on Wednesdays. Assigned readings, regular writing assignments, and a research project. Meets with MACS/SCAN 492.
