Workshops are offered in all areas of specialization in which graduate students are writing Ph.D. dissertations. The specific format varies, but in general workshop sessions include presentations by graduate students of thesis research, by faculty members of their current research, and by occasional outside speakers.

A minimum of 4 hours of ECON 598 is required of all students in the Ph.D. program. Approved for S/U grading only. May be repeated. Prerequisite: Admission to the Department of Economics Ph.D. program.
