Behavioral Economics
Section Info:
In this course we will look at differences between typical models of economic actors and how people actually make choices, with an emphasis on experimental methods. The course is aimed at advanced undergraduates in economics, and coursework will reflect this. Besides surveying behavioral economics proper, we will also take fruitful detours into neuroeconomics, as well as familiarize ourselves with the methods of experimental economics. Readings will consist primarily of journal articles. Prior exposure to expected utility and game theory is helpful, but not required.
