Meets with LLS 390 Topic: Chicanas and Latinas in the U.S. Explores the experiences of Chicana and Latina women in the United States. Topics to be discussed include: history, civil rights movements, Chicana/Latina feminism, sexuality, religion, health, community activism, family, immigration, education, work, media, and artistic expression. Readings are drawn from interdisciplinary sources, but examined from a sociological perspective.
